Viton Oil Control Baffle Flaps.

With needing to ensure quality, longevity and a steady supply we have manufactured our own oil control baffle flaps out of highly impervious Viton rubber. After numerous enquires we have decided to let you in on the action too for use in your own DIY or professional kit!

This design of oil baffle has been used successfully in automotive oil pans/sumps since the 80's. The basic principle is that these are installed on either a vertical or horizontal pate inside of the pan, they are orientated in such a way so that oil can enter into a specific area but not return .

RSD exclusively use rubber baffles made from Viton as this material does not degrade and become stiff in hot engine oil. We do not recommend or use Nitrile rubber baffles as these will degrade in hot oil and stiffen, eventually not acting in the way they should as a one way flap. Please reference the drawing that depicts the slot and hole measurements to confirm fitment before purchasing. We recommend inspection on a 12-24 month period depending on the engines use and application.
